實習專案為參與者提供了獲得真正工作經驗、探索興趣、發展專業技能和能力以及建立信心的機會。 在非政府組織、社會企業、創業企業和企業等行業提供廣泛的實習機會。 實習生將得到 career 一對一的支援和雇主提供的導師的指導。

Job MatchingEmployers provided internship details, including job position, duration and proposed start date, salary and special requirements (if any).

With help from experienced campus recruiters, CareER identified potential candidates from its talent pool based on employers’ business needs and candidates’ skills, abilities, personality and interests.
InterviewEmployers arranged interview with potential candidates. As required, some employers were given advice on interview adaptation.

CareER provided one-to-one consultations to prepare candidates for interview including request for possible interview adjustments.

With employers’ confirmation, the internships started
Pre-InternshipEmployers were given an Employer Brief including some FAQs and suggested solutions.

On a case by case basis, some employers received an Employer Training Workshop delivered by CareER

CareER conducted site-visit to assess workplace accessibility and cultural readiness.

To familiarize interns with the working environment, CareER offers one-to-one consultation upon request.
InternshipTo maximize the value of the internship and foster communication, Employers and interns were invited to have interim reviews with CareER.
Post-InternshipCareER conducted final reviews with employers and interns to gain insights into the achievements and challenges during the internship.

In terms of the internship duration, there were two possible arrangements*:

  • Option 1 – 5 days a week for 10 weeks
  • Option 2 – 2 days a week for 3 months

* According to an Australian Network on Disability’s study, it is recommended that a minimum duration of an effective internship should be 1 month and 150 working hours. However, the working hours were flexible subject to school schedule and health condition of the intern.

“LET’S WORK TOGETHER” Internship Programme 2017
To enrich the “LET’S WORK TOGETHER” Campaign, CareER were invited to organize the “LET’S WORK TOGETHER” Internship Program with AIA MPF. It was a two-month program supported by leading companies AIA Hong Kong, AIA MPF, Amorepacific Hong Kong, Bentley Communications, CMRS Group and The Hong Kong Jockey Club. 10 higher educated students and graduates with disabilities and SEN had successfully placed in internship positions across various industries. The selected candidates have also had the opportunity to receive a wide range of structured trainings including personality profiling, business English workshop, company visit, and speaker forum.
