Roundtable for Campus Representatives (Once a year)
Student affairs and career office representatives from all universities, other higher education institutions and VTCs will be invited to this roundtable discussion. During the roundtable, representatives will get an understanding of the Program and explore potential partnership and their role in this Program.
Mar 2019Program Kick-Off Ceremony and Information Day (Once a year)
To kick off the Program, participants and their parents, peers, employers, stakeholders from NGOs, universities and other higher education institutions including student affair officers and teachers, media and the general public will be invited to the ceremony and information day.

Employer Workshop (Once a year)
This half-day Employer Workshop targets potential and existing employers with internship offers. During the workshop, there will be best practice panel showcasing successful hiring cases of talent with disabilities and SEN.
Throughout the years
Step-by-Step Employment Support
CareER will provide each participant individualized employment support throughout the Program, including pre-interview preparation, post-interview review, workplace adaptation, job familiarization, mid-term and final evaluations.
Mar – May 2019
Personality Assessment and Debriefing (Once a year)
Participants will undertake Harrison Assessment, a personality assessment to identify their strengths and weaknesses, values, interests and skills. Followed by one-to-one debriefing sessions provided by professionals, participants will be able to map out their career paths based on the personal assessment result.
May – Sept 2019
Coaching and Counseling
To maximize their learnings throughout the program, some participants will receive professional one-to-one coaching or counseling services depending on the results of the personal assessment.
Jun – Sept 2019
Summer Internship
The Program provides participants internship opportunities to gain real work experience, explore their interests and develop professional skills and competence. There will be a wide range of internship offers across industries, such as NGOs, social enterprises, start-ups and corporates. Interns will receive one-to-one support and guidance from the mentors provided by their employers.
Aug 2019 (TBC)
Team Building Training (SEN O’Camp) (Once a year)
This full-day Team Building Training aims to bring participants with disabilities and SEN together and build a support network. Through teambuilding activities, participants will gain understanding of each other’s unique ability, gain confidence in themselves and in others, and develop soft skills such as problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Skills Training (Three times a year)
Job Skills Training Workshop, covering CV writing, mock interviews, career advice and coaching, will be held three times a year. This workshop will be carried out on a group basis by instructors with expertise in HR and talent acquisition.
Feb/Apr/Jun/Dec 2019
Experiential Learning (At least 4 events a year)
Participants are encouraged to join CareER’s ‘Student Committee’ and organize events for their fellow members and other stakeholders. The participants will have an opportunity to provide assistance to their peers, including CareER members and other higher educated persons with disabilities and SEN, and become a role model.
Jun/Jul 2019 (TBC)
Half-Day Job Shadowing/ Workplace Tour (Once a year)
Participants will be given a half-day Job Shadowing opportunity or attend a Workplace Tour. Those participants will be able to meet with professionals to gain real-world insights into career development.
Aug 2019 (TBC)Graduation Ceremony for Summer Interns (Once a year)
To celebrate the success of the internship program, certificates and trophies will be presented to the participants and their employers at the Graduation Ceremony.
